A Selection of our cars
The ITCC was started in 2010 by Brian Sexton, Barry Rabbitt and Philip Burdock, the series was created to cater for an obvious gap in the Irish Motor Racing scene as a replacement for the Saloon Libre class which had been run by Mondello Park. The ITCC series is open to any modified car as long as it is based on a four seater production vehicle. The championship featured a host of drivers making the switch from other saloon racing series, some from the Mondello Park Time-Attack championship and an influx of Track Day drivers taking their first steps into competitive motorsport in it's first year. Hot-hatch favourites such as the Honda Civic, Honda Integra and Volkswagen Golf Gti were joined by BMW's, Mazda, Mini, Peugeot, Opel and a Rover with many other makes joining in as the season progressed. ITCC created quite a stir in its first year with full grids of 29+ cars by mid season and with the need for two grids in 2011 to cater for up to 40 cars.
The regulations allowed for some great battles which raged throughout the field with a wide variety of cars. Over the years the class has seen many of Ireland’s top racing drivers compete with each other and while at the same time attract newcomers to the series.
