ABOUT US
The Irish Touring Car Championship or "ITCC" was created in 2010 by a group of like minded racers to cater for a gap in the Irish Motor Racing scene left by the Saloon Libre Class. The ITCC series is an open racing class based on any four seater production vehicle. The series now runs under Irish Championship Circuit Racing and is based on three classes, Super Touring,Touring and National. The classes are based on having a horsepower per tonne rule to cater for all varieties of car and budget. New for the 2025 championship, the National class will help new and existing drivers have a fun and affordable entry to touring car racing in Ireland. More details on the class structure can be found below. The series features a host of different and exciting vehicles from the ever popular and hard to beat Honda Civic's and Integra's , Rotary powered RX7's, Supercharged Citroen Saxo's and many more.

The relaxed regulations allow for thrilling and close racing up and down the grid all while keeping a competitive mix of drivers and vehicles. Over the years the series has seen many of Ireland’s top racing drivers compete with each other and is always attracting newcomers to the series. Do you have what it takes to race with the best?

To race in ITCC you will require a Motorsport Ireland Competition Licence. There are two licence categories, Race National A and Race National B

Race National A : Unlimited
Race National B : Up to 2000cc N/A

If you are starting out in Circuit Racing for the first time a National B Race licence can be obtained via applying for a Starter Pack from Motorsport Ireland and then attending a training day in Mondello Park. This licence limits you to competing in a vehicle with a maximum engine capacity of 2000cc naturally aspirated.

To race with an engine capacity over 2000cc or forced induction you will require a National A Race Licence. To upgrade to a National A Race licence you will be required to finish 5 events with a National B Race Licence. Please note each race weekend consists of two races which would result in two event finishes per weekend.
